Issues logging into SWOOP Viva Engage (on premise only) - Separating Miner and Analytics Viva Engage Application

Applicability

This article only applies if you have an on-premise Viva Engage miner.

Description of problem this article is addressing: You log in to SWOOP to access the normal dashboards, but you get redirected to the SWOOP data miner (which is a site you may not have access too).

Background

We recently put in a change to make SWOOP for Viva Engage compliant with the future direction of Microsoft's Azure integration. This change means that you can't use the application intended for the Viva Engage Miner for the Analytics Engine.

The Miner and the Analytics Engine required a different app because the 'Redirect URI' (displayed as the 'Website URL') must be different.

How to fix

The instructions for creating an application are here:

https://support.swoopanalytics.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002714752-On-Premise-Data-Miner-Yammer

(It may be you used different instructions if your miner was created a long time ago).

Please follow section '2. Viva Engage Application Creation for Analytics Engine'.   Once we updated the 'Client ID' you will be able to log in again.
